CHARLES PEMBERTON
as Colonel Redfern

Charles trained at the Rose Bruford College, graduating with distinction in 1963. On emerging from college he was immediately invited to join the Bristol Old Vic Company where he stayed for two years. Following seasons with the Manchester Library Theatre and Southport, Harrogate and Derby reps., he settled in London in 1967, since when his credits include: Mortimer Durham in The Constant Wife at The Albery Theatre in a revival directed by John Gielgud and starring Ingrid Bergman, Whittle in Thark at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith, and Mr Magic in Forget-Me-Not Lane at Greenwich Theatre. One of his favourite roles is that of Henry Ormonroyd in J B Priestly’s When We Are Married, which he played at the Whitehall Theatre. Charles regularly performs his one-man play about W S Gilbert, A Disagreeable Man? Sadly, Charles Pemberton passed away in May,2007.
