as Helena Charles
Trained at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, graduating
with 1st class honours. Earlier this year Jo was invited back
to LIPA to feature in their 10th Anniversary Gala Performance
for Sir Paul McCartney. Theatre includes: Mary in ‘In
the Red’ (Elgiva, Bucks), Miss Dixon in Ray Cooney’s
‘Times Up’ (Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford), ‘Woman
2’ in in ‘I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now
Change!’ (Jermyn Street Theatre), Marge in ‘Six
Women with Brain Death’ (Soho Theatre, London),
Queenie in ‘The Wild Party’ and the Lady in ‘Blues
in the Night’ (Edinburgh Festival), the Good and Faithful
Servant in ‘Macbeth’ (Liverpool Playhouse),‘Bleeding’
(Unity), Carmina Burana (Everyman), ‘Crimes of the Heart’,
‘Fiddler on the Roof’, ‘Guys and Dolls’
and ‘A Little Night Music’ (LIPA). On film Jo
played Angela in Michael Winterbottoms’ ‘Butterfly
Kiss’. Jo also works as a cabaret artiste and session
vocalist and has toured Cyprus, Spain and the UK. Jo is delighted
to be appearing in the Middle East premiere of ‘Look
Back in Anger’.
